An argument over a man not helping around the house turned into a case of assault at Summit Street Address.
Just after 1 pm, Portsmouth, Ohio, Police responded to a call disturbance on Summit Street. A woman said her boyfriend was taking things from her yard and throwing chairs at her.
When police arrived at the scene, the woman admitted she hit the man first during an argument sparked because he wasn’t helping with the children and didn’t have a job.
According to the woman, she hit him in the back; he turned around and grabbed her to pull her in closer, and then she attempted to bite him. He then put his arm around her neck, and she fell to the ground.
Since the man had lived in the home for two years, she could not force him to leave without evicting him.
Officers arrested Teona Rudy for assault and took her to the Scioto County Jail. Her bond was set at $1000.
