Ruckus at the Royal Inn
An employee of the Royal Inn contacted Portsmouth Police Officers for a little help with guest relations on Friday. PPD officers were asked to check in on a room at the motel because the guests weren’t complying with their rules.
An officer spoke to a guest in his room and advised him of the issue.
Just after 10 pm on Saturday, a caller contacted officers to report a domestic violence incident at the Motel. The caller said it sounded like a male guest was assaulting a woman in one of the rooms.
When police arrived on the scene, the couple in the room said it was just a verbal disagreement sparked by the woman wanting to see the man’s phone.
Officers saw no signs of a physical altercation. Police advised the pair to keep it down.
