Vaughn Munn, 85, of Lucasville

Vaughn Edwin Munn, 85, of Lucasville passed away Monday, January 11, 2021, at his residence. Born April 15, 1935, in Scioto County, a son of the late Clarence and Elizabeth Rickey Munn, and was a former employee of the Coke Plant in New Boston. Vaughn was a member of the United Steel Workers 2116 and was president for several years, attended Cedar Street Church of Christ in Christian Union, and was a US Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sue Pelfrey Munn; one son, Brent Munn; one daughter, Vonda Jackson; five grandchildren, Lesley Deemer, Chase Hiles, Laken Munn, Lexie Munn, Sydney Munn, and two great-grandchildren, Landon Schiltz and Bryson Deemer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Munn, George Munn, and two sisters, Mildred Gammon, and Madeline Gloss.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2021, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Brad Angus officiating. Burial will be at Scioto Burial Park in McDermott. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Military graveside rites will be conducted by James Irwin Post No. 622 American Legion and William A. Baker Post No. 363. Per CDC guidelines and governor recommendations, everyone is asked to wear a mask and practice proper social distancing procedures and guidelines. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
