Thousands In Health Scholarships Available

If you know a high school senior interested in the healthcare field, you’ll want to make sure they know about the thousands of dollars of scholarship money available for residents of Greenup County, Kentucky and Lawrence County, Ohio as well as several surrounding counties.

The King’s Daughters Health Foundation is accepting applications for three scholarships.

The Stewart Health Foundation Scholarship offers $2000 a year in assistance and is renewable for up to four years. The money can be sued for tuition, room, board, books, and lab fees. This scholarship is open to high school students who live in Greenup, Boyd, Carter, or Lawrence County in Kentucky. It’s also open to residents of Lawrence County in Ohio and Wayne County in West Virginia. If you’re the child of a full-time King’s Daughters employee you are exempt from the residency requirements.

Four Boyd County Medical Society Scholarships worth $1500 will also be awarded. One each to a senior from Boyd County High, Paul G. Blazer High, Fairview High, and Russell High. The money can be used for first-year tuition, room and board, books, and lab fees. Students can apply no matter what field they plan to enter.

The Edna and Mildred Monk Memorial Nursing Scholarship offers $1000 dollars for students studying nursing. The money can be used to pay for tuition, room and board, books, or lab fees. It’s only offered to dependents of King’s Daughters employees.

To keep the scholarship money, students must maintain a 2.5 GPS and take a minimum of 12 credit hours of classes each semester.
