Portsmouth store clerks can’t seem to catch a break when it comes to unwanted people in their stores. At 5 pm, an employee of the Family Dollar reported that there was a man who was not welcome in the store there, and the man refused to leave.
The store trespassed the man, but he refused to sign anything acknowledging that he was not welcome in the store. The man left without incident when the police arrived.
At 9:42 pm, CVS employees contacted officers to report that a man who had frightened employees by standing near their vehicles the previous evening was back on the lot, this time with a crowbar in his hands. Officers removed him from both the CVS and Kroger lot the previous night.
Police responded to the scene and served him with a barred letter. He left without incident.
A Speedway employee reported a man caused a disturbance inside the store because he wanted free merchandise and they wouldn’t give it to him. He then left the store and headed up Kendall Avenue. Police caught up with him at the Royal Inn.
Officers advised him that Speedway barred him from their property, and he would be charged if he returned.
