Robert Stevenson, 88, of South Portsmouth

Robert L. Stevenson, 88, of South Portsmouth, Kentucky passed away, May 18, 2021, in Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born in South Portsmouth, Kentucky, on April 14, 1933, a son of the late Homer Stevenson and Minnie Webb Stevenson. Bob was a U.S. Army Veteran and a Deacon at the First Baptist Church, Loyd, Kentucky.

Preceded in death besides his parents are four brothers and seven sisters, a great-grandson, Brody McNutt.

Surviving are his wife, Elma Rowland Stevenson, two daughters, Denise (Gary) McElhaney of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, Annette (Mark) McNutt of Navarre, Ohio, one sister, Anna Evans of Wheelersburg, Ohio, four grandchildren, April McElhaney (Bill) Jilbert, Ryan (Chrissy) McElhaney, Ashley McElhaney (Clay) Nickell, Alan (Kathy) McNutt, five great-grandchildren, Kylee Jilbert, Colin Jilbert, Delonte McElhaney, Josiah McElhaney, and Freya Grace McNutt.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 23, 2021, at the Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Kentucky with Pastor Russ Foster, officiating. Burial will follow in Collier Memorial Gardens, South Portsmouth, Kentucky. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 noon till the service hour at 2 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Alan McNutt, Ryan McElhaney, Clay Nickell, Bill Jilbert, Chuck Rowland, and Paul Stevenson.

In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Renovation Fund, Lloyd First Baptist Church, Lloyd, Kentucky.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions face coverings and social distancing are recommended.
