Richard Ellis Dupuy, 92, of Portsmouth, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021, at SOMC Hospice Center. He was born April 30, 1929, in Portsmouth a son of the late Paul H. and Dorothy (Wright) Dupuy. He was a member of Cornerstone Methodist Church, Portsmouth Masonic Lodge # 48 and the Scottish Rite of Cincinnati. He retired from the Empire Detroit Steel Division of Cyclops Corporation in 1984.
Ellis is survived by two daughters, Sandra Marshall and husband Eddie of New Boston and Sharon Dupuy and husband Joe Deroche of Chicago, IL.; a sister Mary Martha Brannan of Silver Springs, MD.; four grandchildren Kathryn, Matthew, Abigal Marshall and Vena (Bryan) Gamble; two great-grandchildren, Lorcan and Aila Gamble.
He was also preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Priscilla Osborn Dupuy; a son, Richard Ellis Dupuy Jr.; two brothers, Paul H. Dupuy and James W. Dupuy.
Private services will be held for the family at D.W. SWICK FUNERAL HOME in Wheelersburg with Pastor Ralph Clay officiating.
