She told police someone or something was inside her home and had hypnotized her. Police took information for a report.

Going Batty

A Mabert Road caller reported a big fight between a boyfriend and girlfriend at 4:25 am. The woman told police the man slapped her in the face and kicked her in the stomach. She responded by chasing him out of the house with a baseball bat.

The man said she slapped him first, he defended himself, and she chased him out of the house with a bat. Officers said the woman had a red mark on her cheek and the man had no injuries. Neither wanted to press charges.

Police dropped the woman off somewhere else.

Just after 12:30 pm, a woman contacted police to report her sister missing. She told officers the sister is homeless and has a drug problem. Police took information for a report.

Hateful Words

Police answered a request for a welfare check at 1:15 pm. A neighbor asked officers to check on the welfare a little girl next door.

She said she heard an adult yelling at the child and telling her she hated her. She also told police this was not the first time she’d heard verbal abuse.

Police spoke with the mom and child. They didn’t hear an argument and both appeared fine.

Removed From Home

About 10 minutes later, officers had another welfare check at a different home. They went with CPS to an 8th Street residence and assisted them in removing a child.

Down The Drain

Police were called to Lincoln Street at 2 pm by a city sewer worker for a report of an angry citizen. The man had hit a sewer and was angry with the worker.

Police advised the driver to contact his insurance company.
