Suspect Demands Donuts from Police

The Paramount Beauty Academy reported an older white man harassing students. The man beat on the windows of the building and also broke into a car. When a PPD patrol car arrived, the man approached an officer and demanded donuts. He was handcuffed and taken to the Scioto County Jail where he got into a fight with a corrections officer.

Other Suspicious Persons Seen on Patrol

Around 3 am, a caller on Kinney’s Lane reported a man trying car doors and getting in and out of truck beds. Patrol officers responding to the scene only found two people on bikes. They spoke with the bicyclists.

PPD Officers were called to American Legion on Court Street to report a man and a woman hanging around. The American Legion wanted the pair to leave.

Later in the afternoon, a car accident led to a disturbance on Waller Street. After the accident, two men jumped out of and began to beat the other vehicle. The victim was familiar with both men and able to ID them from their driver’s license photos.

Invisible Intruder

 Around 4 am, a caller on 11^th street reported to PPD that someone had broken into her home, moved her purse, and stole her phone. She informed police she thought someone living upstairs was coming through the ceiling and moving items. Upon investigation, it turned out that the caller’s daughter had moved the items.

Roughly two hours later, the same caller reported to officers that someone was hiding inside her couch. Officers on patrol discovered a cat hiding under a bed. Officers advised the woman to speak to a counselor.

Dead on Arrival

Shortly after 6 am, PPD officers responded to a report of an unresponsive person in a Fifth Street apartment. Unfortunately, the person was deceased. Officers arranged to have the victim transported to the morgue.

Missing Pop

PPD patrol officers were called to a group home on High Street after someone broke into the pop machine and made off with soda. At least 12 cans were missing.
