A creep with a kiddie underpants collection. A parolee who loaded his phone with child pornography. Two deeply disturbed Ohio men are each looking at 10 years behind bars in two separate, but equally disturbing, cases of child sex predators.
John D. Lagle, 32, hails from New Concord. He admits to trading child pornography and to paying for underwear that had previously been worn by children.
He was caught in a sting back in January of last year. An undercover officer posed as the mother of little girls and struck up a friendship with Lagle on the Kik Messaging App. Over the course of several months, Lagle offered to pay the officer for panties worn by her children and to have sex with kids. He even sent child porn to the officer. That includes photos of little kids’ pubic areas.
Police raided his home in August of last year. They found 100 images of child porn on his phone. Plus 70 pairs of children’s panties. Two of which had been purchased from the undercover officer.
He pleaded guilty last October to distributing and receiving child pornography.
Chief U.S. District Court Judge Algenon L. Marbley sentenced him in U.S. District Court to 120 months in prison and 10 years of supervised release.
But he’s not the only sick individual law enforcement has taken down recently. Kenneth J. Musgrave, 55, of Greenville, was also sentenced to 120 months in prison.
Parolee With Kiddie Porn
Musgrave was already on parole for sex crimes against kids. The registered sex offender was convicted back in 2000 on for raping a child under 13 and for a charge of gross sexual imposition of a child under 13. He received 15 years in prison but was later paroled.
In October of 2018, his parole officer searched Musgrave’s phone. There were more than 200 child pornography files. He pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography back in January.
In addition to the 120 month sentence, Musgrave received 20 years of supervised release.
Creeps like this are why it is more important than ever to supervise what your kids are up to online.
