Pedestrian Injured in Gallia Street Hit and Run

A pedestrian was rushed to the hospital via air ambulance after being hit by a truck near the Valero Gas Station on Gallia Street on Saturday Night.

Witness said the driver was a bald man with tattoos. When EMS arrived on the scene, they contacted an air ambulance which met EMS at the landing pad at SOMC. Med Flight transported the man to St. Mary’s.

New Boston officers stopped a possible suspect vehicle in the 4300 block of Rhodes.

Very Bad Day at the Royal Inn

A man staying at the Royal Inn had a pretty bad start to his Sunday morning. He contacted officers just before 9 am to report that the woman who spent the night with him stole his new iPhone.

However, when officers arrived on the scene, they discovered he had an open warrant in Adams County. Police took him into custody and transported him to the county line, where he was transferred to Adams County law enforcement.

Police Investigate Shooting Threat During Bar Fight

A verbal exchange during a late-night fight at the Party Time Bar caused witnesses to worry one of the people involved might have a gun.

Just after 2:30 am, a report came in about two people fighting in front of the 4th Street bar. The caller said there might be a gun involved because one of the men kept saying, “shoot me.” However, she did not see a weapon.

By the time officers arrived at the scene, the fight had broken up, and both parties were leaving the scene. No one involved wanted to press charges, and no one actually saw a weapon. The bar’s bouncer reported there was a lot of arguing but no actual physical fighting.
