Officers received a report of a red van stopped at the traffic light at 8th and Campbell with a man and woman passed out inside just before 7 pm.
Police cited the male driver for non-compliance and issued him a traffic ticket before impounding the vehicle.
Officer called for a tow truck, and the vehicle was removed.
Suspicious Activity
A Gallia Street resident contacted police about an issue with a homeless man just before 3 pm. He said the man keeps coming into his yard and leaving behind carts and other belongings. The man told police he’d set the things that were left behind out on garbage day.
A Thomas Avenue caller reported a man overdosing in front of his apartment just after 6:30 pm. When police arrived on the scene, the man told officers he was just sleeping.
Officers responded to the main entrance of the PNC Bank at 3:12 am for a report of a vagrant loitering in the walkup area. Police advised the individual to move on.
Police investigated a report of a suspicious individual near Johnson’s Seafood Restaurant on Gallia at 3:39 am. The man told officers he was searching for a place to charge his phone. They advised him to move on.
