A Portsmouth mom tossed her mouthy son outside without shoes and a man got so drunk he messed in his pants. These are just some of the calls PPD responded to. We break them all down in these next 8 slides.

Hey, That’s My Stuff

Just after 7:30 am, officers responded to a theft report at an 8th Street business. Someone stole catalytic converters from trucks.

A woman called the police to report a man took her car keys and Playstation at 4:30 pm. He agreed to give them back if she’d drive him to Huntington.

Messed Up

A man was so intoxicated he defecated on himself just before 9 am. Police responded to the Rainbow Bowling Lanes for a report of a man in camo staggering and falling down.

Officers said he had bloodshot eyes, staggered side to side, and smelled strongly of alcohol. Police placed him in custody for his own safety.

Kicked out Without Shoes

A juvenile called police at 10:30 am to report his mother had kicked him out of the house without shoes. He admitted that he’d cussed her out.

The mom, who is confined to a wheelchair, said he was constantly calling her names so she smacked his arm and told him to go outside. The boy didn’t have any visible marks.

Officers advised him to respect his mother and explained to her how to file unruly charges.

Suspicious Roommate

A woman called police just before noon to claim her roommate used her bank card. She claimed the roomie took out $2,000. The victim had allowed a friend of the family to say with her.

At the end of October, the roommate pulled the woman’s debit card out of a chair cushion and said she found it there. In early November, several unauthorized charges turned up on her bank account.

She’d previously allowed the woman to use her EBT and tablet which all have the same PIN as the bank card.  She suspects the woman because, after the incident, she left the home and unfriended her on Facebook.

Slashed Tires

An angry boyfriend assaulted a woman and slashed his girlfriend’s tires.  The incident happened on Wayne avenue around 12:30 pm. The victim said she received a text from the man that he was inside her van.

She told him to get out and he took her phone and began to struggle with him for it. He then took out a pocket knife and punctured two of her tires. Then he took part of a water meter and threw it through the windshield.

He then assaulted the woman and her cousin. The shirtless man fled on foot in the direction of the Oasis Convenient Mart.

Missing Mom

Worried grandparents called police just before 4 pm. Their granddaughter left her 2-month-old baby with them the day before and they’d not heard from her since.

Police tracked her down.  Officers said she seemed fine. They advised her to let her family know she was okay.

  • Police answered a call to North Hill Road at 11:35 pm for a woman screaming for help. Officers said the woman and a man on the scene were slightly intoxicated and having an argument.

Locked Out

A woman called police just after 8 pm to report she’d been locked out of her home. She said she let someone house-sit and the woman changed her locks.

She’d arranged with her landlord to have the locks changed bank the next day. Officers advised her to call them if anything was missing.
