Shots Fired?

A Grandview Avenue caller thought he heard gunshots at 3 am. Police investigated but did not find anything.

Hey! That’s My Stuff

  • An Armstrong Place caller reported a vehicle break-in in progress at 3:04 am. When police arrived on the scene a few minutes later, they found no sign of a break-in
  • At 3:40 pm, a Bonser Avenue man told police someone broke into his vehicle and attempted to break into his garage. Officers took information for a report.

Fleeing The Scene

Officers responded to a crash on 11th Street at 3 am.  One driver appeared to have fled the scene on foot, leaving behind a car seat in the vehicle.

Police located an apparently injured man on 12th Street. It turned out there was a warrant for the man. Officers took him into custody and contacted the vehicle’s owner.

They collected blood samples from the airbags. The vehicles were towed.

Missing Woman Located

Officers found a woman whose husband reported her missing. He said she went out to tan in the morning the day before and never came home.

Police discovered she’d stayed the night with a friend and was fine.

Domestic Violence

A 17th Street woman reported that a man beat her up at 4:100 pm. Officers took a statement and were able to obtain the man’s name and date of birth.

Under The Influence

  • Police discovered a woman passed out in a silver SUV on 6th Street at 4 pm. They administered Narcan. Once she was alert, she said prescription medicine had made her drowsy. Police took her home where a roommate promised to keep an eye on her. They advised her to stay off the road.
  • At 7 pm, police responded to the Four Keys Inn for a report of an overdose. However, when they arrived, the room was empty.

Cry For Help

Just before midnight, officers responded to the BP on Gallia for a report of a woman assaulting a man near the gas pumps.

The woman told officers she wanted to harm herself and threatened her boyfriend. An ambulance transported her to SOMC for treatment.
