A domestic situation got out of control on Kentucky Trail-Haines Road in Minford. At 12:30 am, deputies responded to a report that a husband and wife were fighting.
A witness said the woman tried to hit the man with a shovel, but he got it away from her. The woman then assaulted the man. The witness told officers the fighting was an ongoing issue between the two.
When officers arrived on the scene, the man said he had no injuries and refused to write a statement about the incident. He did not wish to file charges against his wife.
