Local attorney Michael “Mike” Mearan had a rude awakening early this morning as members of BCI and other Law Enforcement agencies detained him and raided his home office.

We are working to determine if the other raids conducted around Portsmouth yesterday were a part of this investigation.

Portsmouth Police Reports: Child in Danger

May 29, 2021

SCDN has been covering the ongoing saga of Mearan and other possible businesspeople since 2017. Our Nikki Blankenship is credited with making the local story a National Story that inspired the series “Gone: The Forgotten Women of Ohio.” that aired on Spike TV in August of 2017.

It is unknown what evidence has been uncovered today. We do know that, previously, a black book belonging to the still missing Megan Lancaster and the phone of Sarah Woods (who was found dead near Rally’s) have been inspected for evidence. Lancaster’s car and Woods’ body were, oddly, found in the same area years apart.

As Blankenship continued to report on the case and SCDN would update our group members, strange things began to happen. Ms. Blankenship received many threats and Mr. Craycraft was followed continuously by an unmarked Suburban with four armed men in brown uniforms. That escalated into a face to face confrontation in the New Boston Walmart while Mr. Craycraft was Christmas shopping.

Due to the concern for their safety and the safety of their families, Blankenship and Craycraft were forced to cease their reporting and let the larger media organizations move forward.

With today’s events, we wish to thank Nikki and Mark for sounding the alarm bells at great expense to their personal lives.

SCDN will continue to cover this story on this post with updates as they become available.
