Margaret Holbrook, 83, of South Shore

Margaret Jean Holbrook, 83 of South Shore, KY entered Heaven’s gates on January 29, 2021, while surrounded by family.

She was a member of the Maloneton Homemakers for 29 years and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Along with spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren she enjoyed painting and cooking meals for family and friends.

She was retired from the physicians’ office of Dr. Billy J. Riddle/Dr. C. Frank Mynes as a secretary.

Margaret had an unwavering faith in God.  She was a member of First Church of God of South Shore, Ky and Hillcross Church of God of South Portsmouth, Ky.

Margaret was predeceased by her loving husband Dennis H. Holbrook. She was also predeceased by her son Gregory S. Holbrook, her two brothers, William Vanderpool and Harold Vanderpool, and great-grandson Riley Holbrook.

Margaret is survived by her daughters Teresa (Tim) Petry of New Richmond OH and Ruthetta (Todd) Tudor of Mt. Orab OH.

She is also survived by five grandchildren, Shauna Hancock, Nathan Holbrook, TJ Petry, Briana Brown, and Macklin Tudor. She has seven great-grandchildren, Sadie Petry, Blake Petry, Brooklyn Hancock, Maggie Holbrook, Henry Brown, Emma Holbrook, and Calum Tudor. Her caring siblings Emerson Vanderpool and Janis Collins.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 6, 2021, from 11 am to 1 pm at Roberson Funeral Home. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held following visitations, at 1 pm with Rev. Acy Gibson, officiating. Her body will be laid to rest at the Mt. Zion cemetery. Due to Covid restrictions mask and social distancing are required.
