Multiple suspicious individuals made for a busy night for officers.
At 9:41 Pm, a caller reported a man stopped at the traffic light near McDonald’s on Gallia. The caller said the man was slumped over the wheel. He finally woke up and pulled the vehicle into the parking lot at Subway. However, by the time officers arrived, he had left the scene.
A Kroger employee contacted officers at 10 pm to report a man in a white hoodie was going around the store asking people to help him steal from a donation jar. The employee requested officers get the man out of the store and serve him with a barred letter.
Just after 10 pm, CVS employees asked officers for an assist. They reported a suspicious man standing near their vehicles in the parking lot for some time and were afraid to leave the building. Officers advised the man to move.
The man from the CVS parking lot contacted police just before 1 am to say people were following him. Offices arranged for him to catch a taxi and leave the city.
