A report of a brawl on Summit Street led to the arrest of a woman wanted by the State of Kentucky.
Portsmouth Police Officers responded to a report of a large fight involving eight people on Summit Street just after noon.
Officers caught up with Tara Caldwell who had an open warrant from Campbell County, Kentucky as a fugitive from justice. They arrested her on that warrant and booked her for assault. This was not Caldwell’s first encounter with local law enforcement. She’s been booked into the Scioto County Jail on 16 previous occasions.
Caldwell’s previous charges include drug possession, tampering with evidence, criminal trespass, driving under suspension, failure to appear, falsification, and probation violation.
