George William “Bill” Clifford, 84, of Portsmouth, died Saturday, January 2, 2021, at his home. He was born October 9, 1936, in Portsmouth, to the late George A. and Genevieve (McCain) Clifford.
Bill retired from Detroit Empire Steel Mill and was also former co-owner of Patsy’s Inn Restaurant with his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria (Pasquinelli) Clifford, his three daughters; Kim Virgin (Ed) of Portsmouth, Debbie Sanders (Scott) of Ironton, and Angela Kaut (Joe) of Minford, six grandchildren; Nichole Storey, John Storey (Janet), Joey Storey, Andrew Nickell, Misty Kaut, and Courtney Sanders, two great-grandchildren, Isla and Simon Storey, as well as nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Clifford.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, funeral services will be private on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Melcher Hammer Funeral in Portsmouth, with Pastor Ralph Clay officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Portsmouth.
