Geneva Bennett, 91, of New Boston

Geneva Katherine Bennett, 91, formerly of New Boston OH passed away 21 Dec. 2020 in Rolla, MO from after-effects of COVID.

Geneva was born July 1, 1929, to Raymond and Katherine Schomburg in Sciotoville OH.  She was raised and attended school and church in New Boston, OH.

Geneva was married to Jack L. Bennett of Stockdale OH on May 27, 1950.  After marriage, they lived in Springfield OH, Kokomo IN, Menomonee Falls WI, Nashville TN  in support of Jack’s career.  In their later years, they moved to Missouri to be closer to their son.  Geneva and Jack were married for almost 66 years when Jack passed on Jan 29, 2016.

Geneva enjoyed reading, cooking, hunting, and fishing but, most importantly, providing a loving home for her family and spending time with them.

Geneva is survived by her loving son Raymond Keith (Karen) Bennett, her cherished granddaughter Kristy (Mike Dereberry) Bennett, and grandson Ryan (Kate) Bennett along with her dear great-grandsons, Raymond and Roger Bennett.

Geneva was preceded in death by her sister and her husband, Evelyn and Jack Moore of New Boston. She was a dear aunt to their children Debra, Terry, Jeff, Diana, and Cindy and their families.

Because of COVID, no formal services were held at the funeral home. A graveside service was held on Dec 26 2020 at Meade cemetery.

Geneva made a positive impact on her family and will be deeply missed.

A graveside service was held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 26th, at Meade Cemetery with Pastor Rob Krebbs officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of the BRANT FUNERAL SERVICE IN SCIOTOVILLE.
