Evelyn Marie Lawson

Age 74, of Portsmouth, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at her home.  She was born May 27, 1946, in Vevay, IN to William and Florence (Gelvin) Pettit.

Evelyn is survived by her sons, Clifford Jones, and wife Ann, James Jones, and wife April; daughters, Jane Taylor, and husband Harvey, Barbara Ann Lawson, and husband Kenny, Kimberly Morgen, Becky Hopper, and husband Chuck; brothers, Alfred Pettit, and wife Naomi, Mick Pettit, and wife Patty; sister, Normalee Leep, and husband Gerold; grandchildren, Illren Keller, and wife Bree Coffey, Cody, Mea, Glenn, Jeffery, Kayla Kalup, Nickie “little Evlyn”, Malisa Keller, Malinda Keller, James Keller, Amandan Jones, Evert Jones, Tom Tom Conners, Maddy Jiles, Faith Jiles, Iseral Shirley, Zackery Jones, Sarannah Jones; also surviving are daughter-in-law April Jones, Kaysin Ross, Harmony Boyer, Jayden Kirk, Baby Shane Ross, Corey Taylor, Steven Taylor, Mariah Taylor, many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her former husband and father of her children, Clifford Jones, she was preceded in death by her second husband, Leon Lawson, sons, David “Jonesy” Jones, and Michael Jones; granddaughter, Angel Eckler.

Funeral services for Evelyn will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2020, at D.W. SWICK-NELSON FUNERAL HOME in New Boston.  Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Germantown, KY.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
