Doris Merle Goodan, 87, of Portsmouth, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020, at the SOMC Hospice Center. She was born October 1, 1933, in Huntington Twp., Brown County, a daughter of the late James Morris and Lou Beaner Hamilton Warren.
A homemaker, Doris had worked at the former Williams Manufacturing Co., and was a graduate of Manchester High School. She loved and enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and Doris was a talented seamstress, an excellent cook and an avid reader.
Her husband, Howard Eugene Goodan, preceded her in death on January 30, 2004. The couple was married on September 3, 1955, in Jackson.
Surviving are her children, Stephen D. Goodan and Lisa Marie Goodan, both of Portsmouth; a sister, Wanda Nichols of West Union; two grandchildren, Michelle L. Ashcraft and Shawn (Jessica) Feeman; and two great-grandsons, Ethan and Alexander Feeman.
A sister, Kathryn Hackathorn, also preceded Doris in death.
A graveside service was held Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
