A Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputy came to the aid of a woman in the wee hours of the morning.
Just after 2 am, the woman contacted the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office to report she was forced to leave a situation in Franklin Furnace and was now trying to walk to a hotel in Wheelersburg. The woman said she would have luggage with her.
An officer found the woman near Phantom Fireworks and gave her a ride to the Red Roof Inn. However, the Red Roof Inn could not accept Apple Pay, so a deputy took her to Quality Inn.
She told the deputy she did not need to file a police report and had not been harmed in any way.
