A terrified mom contacted Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputies to report her little girl missing just before 8 pm.
The woman said the child had never left the yard before. She checked with the neighbors, and the little girl was nowhere to be found.
She described the child as blonde, wearing a blue shirt and flowered shorts.
Dispatch contacted OSP to ask about a K9 unit. OSP advised they didn’t have a K9 immediately available but could get one. Deputies responded to the area to begin searching for the girl.
Fortunately, 10 minutes later, the child’s father called back to report they found her in her room under her bed.
A deputy spoke with the child and confirmed she was okay.
