Charles “Chaz” Arthur, of Portsmouth, Ohio passed from this life at KDMC in Ashland, KY to go home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 5, 2021. He was 69 years young.
Born April 19, 1951, to the late Vernon Arthur and Elsie (Westwood) Arthur, Chaz was a 1969 graduate of Portsmouth High School and a graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts.
Chaz was employed by OSCO Industries in New Boston for more than 9 years and a deep desire to be a new member of Minford Bible Baptist Church.
Chaz is survived by his wife of 20 years, Dawn (Hancock) Arthur; two daughters, Erica Arthur Balzano of Florida, Angela (Buddy) Kitchen of Greenup, KY; three granddaughters, Skye Thurston of Florida, Lacy Balzano of Florida, Jordan (Tristan Downing) Kitchen of South Portsmouth, KY; two grandsons, Bryce Balzano of Florida, Brock Kitchen of Greenup, KY; one great-granddaughter, Hazel the daughter of Skye Theerston of Florida, and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Arthur of Portsmouth and Dennis Arthur of Texas.
Funeral services will be conducted Noon Friday, February 12, 2021, at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Brett McGraw officiating. Burial will be at Bennett Cemetery in Minford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to Noon prior to the service on Friday.
