Brenda Sue Phipps Rucker, 65 of McDermott died Saturday, May 22, 2021, at SOMC Hospice surrounded by loved ones.
She was born January 12, 1956 in Portsmouth to the late William and Elizabeth Sparks Phipps.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by 6 brothers; Robert, Phil, Larry, Nicholas, Danny, and David Phipps, and 3 sisters; Loretta Phipps, Reba Marcum, and Louise Marcum.

Brenda was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, cooking, anything tie-dye, and spending time with her Facebook friends. She was feisty and loved Fried Chicken Fridays because that meant spending time with her family. Her sense of humor was so unique and will definitely be missed, she knew just how cool she was. Her grandkids and great-grandkids meant more to her than anything, they were her best friends.
