A 31-year-old Travis Anderson, of Portsmouth, was busted after a beef over a Nintendo Switch gaming device got out of control.
Portsmouth police say it all went down just after 4:36 am when police responded to the Woodbine Apartments on Kendall Avenue for a report of a man pounding loudly on his brother’s door.
When an officer arrived on the scene, he could hear the 31-year-old man pounding on the door. When the officer approached him, the man was upset at yelling.
According to the police report, he advised the officer numerous times that his brother “need his ass whooped.”
When the officer inquired as to why the man was so upset with his brother, he told the officer that he didn’t have to explain himself and police could just go ahead and take him to jail.
Despite the presence of police on the scene, he began yelling that his brother was “going to get it.”
The angry man then explained that his brother had been talking about him and that he felt his brother was a “piece of sh#!” who is with a “wh$#*” who stole a Nintendo Switch.
The man then began screaming, “Are you happy slut?” He then told his brother in front of police officers that he was going to beat his “F****ing head in.”
Police then arrested him for making a domestic threat.
His brother explained that Travis had called him earlier saying he wanted to talk. He said his brother got upset when he told him he wanted to get off the phone and kept calling him back when he shut his phone off. He then came to the apartment and began banging on the door and calling his brother out to fight. He told officers if he’d come out of the apartment, his brother would likely have attacked him.
